About

me2

I’m an American ex-pat now living in the UK and a proud mother of 6.  I love books and all things relating to the home whether it be family life, interior design, arts and crafts or up-cycling. I love improving the aesthetics of things.

I believe in God and that life has purpose. Our main purpose–our calling– is to love.  It is up to us to discover what our natural gifting is and to use that to love and to serve.  I believe that experiencing a good and joyful life requires some creativity and being actively engaged in our lives.  I am a Christian but prefer to describe myself as spiritual rather than religious.  I believe everyone of different faiths and spiritual beliefs have something to share and that therefore we each offer a piece of the puzzle of the great mystery of life (even if you don’t believe in God at all).  We all have much to learn from each other.

In my blog, you will find posts on all my favourite topics–spirituality, family stories and reflections, book reviews,  interior design and decorating, crafts and up-cycling projects I am working on and  natural health. I humbly state that I am a novice in all things so I am simply inviting you to join me on my journey.

  1. Teresa, I have written an adaptation of Princess and Goblin for the screen, moving the time and place to 1930s on a Badlands reservation, and changing the lead characters’ ethnicity to Native
American. I visited a C.S. Lewis blog, and noticed you had posted many comments about George MacDonald’s works. I wonder if you would be interested in giving my script a read, and commenting on it. If so, please send me an email to sfxFilms@gmail.com. Sincerely, Michael O’Rourke.

  3. Hi Teresa, nice to meet you. I’ve been enjoying some of your posts, and your spiritual view of life. I’m a fan of John O’Donohue. He was a very wise man. I think you may also enjoy Adyashanti – not a Christian but embraces the truth hidden in all religions.
Thank you for following our blog. I hope you enjoy the stories of our journey, both inner and outer.
    Blessings, Alison

  4. Hi Teresa,

Found your blog from your comment on CC’s blog. I really like this quote of yours from your post above:

“I believe everyone of different faiths and spiritual beliefs have something to share and that therefore we each offer a piece of the puzzle of the great mystery of life (even if you don’t believe in God at all). We all have much to learn from each other.”

That is one of the biggest reasons I continue to blog about deep life questions even though I don’t see myself likely to return to a belief in the supernatural. I’m glad you have such a great perspective!
